Ted Leo Updates & so much more

Say what you will about great artists jumping ship to a major label whenever the chance arises. Ted Leo has been making amazing music, and stayed loyal to Lookout Records for longer than any sane man should have. To Lookouts credit, they put out years and years of great punk rawking music, and helped make artists like Ted, Green Day, Mr. T Experience, The Queers, and so many more.

Well as a result, Ted Leo has joined forces with Touch & Go records.

Ted is also doing a nice little tour that sandwiches, or sangwich-es if you are a Dane Cook fan, his SXSW dates (including a killer show for stereogum.com with Rogue Wave and much, much more), and a little festival known as Coachella.

In other MORE bizarre news, it appears Sharon Stone is doing a movie to help get her back in the movie mainstream. This movie is called, Basic Instinct 2. Yes, you read that correctly. If you are like me, and you were looking for the new Morrissey album, you might find a link saying Morrissey is going to be in this. Your head might explode, as after watching the NSFW trailer as far as I can tell the only plot in this movie is showing the various ways a 50-year old women can have soft core sex on camera. I mean, is this really Morrissey's bag baby? Luckily, you find out it's David Morrissey, not the Moz, which I'm sure is more suspenseful than anything in this film. Even better though, they should make a BI:3 and add the Moz. Seems more entertaining than this.

Finally, to end this epic post - Cub Country has relocated to Seattle, and apparently is almost ready to release a new album. I always said Stay.Poor.Stay.Happy is amazing, and was never sure why no one got into it. Right now alt-country is hotter than Hanzel, so hopefully Jeremy will finally get some blogger love.

Check out the nice track, Missed the Train and make sure you don't miss this train. Get it... a train to train joke.
