Everybody's blogging for the weekend

It's Friday, and I'm tired. I was up wondering if Tommy Lee and the other has beens from Supernova made the right choice kicking off a guy who sang a Mr. Paltrow song and tried to rock out a Duran Duran cover. Maybe he had the style and chops to lead a hard rock band full of idiots? Now I'll never know so I'm just going to do one of those Simpsons tricks and do a clip show:

In a good news/bad news situation, Okkervil River are touring, but ignoring the West Coast. They are touring with Elvis Perkins - who is going to be made huge by getting posted on Stereogum, oh and the fact he is the son of Norman Bates!

Voxtrot put a new song on the the Darla.com comp and it uses slide-guitar. Check out the track:
MP3:: Warmest Part of Winter - via Gorilla vs Bear

Awardtour points out Chuck Klosterman has a new book coming out. I predict he won't make any odd analogies about pop-stars.

Sufjan Stevens is touring - so I would imagine people will freak out. I find it funny that people are going crazy that he is playing 5 or 6 new songs. The dude records something every 5 minutes and is constantly in the blog news. What else could we really expect from him?
Here are the dates:
10.14 Vancouver, British Columbia - St. Andrews Cathedral
10.15 Seattle, WA - Paramount

This is old, but still great. Since Rogue Wave is playing Bumbershoot, I'm going to link up a nice live radio session that so much silence ripped into nice MP3 format tracks.
MP3s:: Rogue Wave - live on WOXY
