News:: New Julie Doiron

Earlier in the year, we did a post about ex-Eric Trip chanteuse, Julie Doiron. Long story short, we mentioned she had a new CD coming out on jajaguwar... and here's some more info.

The record - Woke Myself Up - is one I've been impatiently waiting for, and after hearing two songs, it's made it even harder to wait.

This track is waaaaaay more upbeat and bouncy than I expected. Her double tracked vocals and harmonies are perfect. It's sad and upbeat at the same time, with a nice meandering bass line and guitar crunch. It's a big change of pace from the last record and takes me back to the catchyness of Sweeter from the Wooden Stars era.
