Between the Covers:: Ramones vs. Red Hot Chili Peppers
So many ways to tie this combo together.
Well, here's a little battle that really was over before it started.
MP3:: Havana Affair - The Ramones
There isn't much you can say that hasn't been said. This track is two-minutes of awesome-nicity (which opened for Scratonicty on tour).
MP3:: Havana Affair - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Normally, like Salma, I enjoy the Chili Peppers. Kietis is an amazing word poet, and musically there isn't a more talented band going. That being said, the slowed down drawl of this track kills the energy and the falsetto harmonies are not 100% awesome.
- I've been throughly enjoying Can You See The Sunset's series of pop-punk mastery - If it AIn't Punk, It's Junk. It's like a time capsule back to my youth.
- The Ramones are the best pop punkers ever... so any chance to talk about them is great.
- My friend Lindsay is celebrating her birthday today, and she went to Cuba not too long ago and got me a keychain that looks like cigar nub.
- My wife pretended to smoke the cigar when she was bored... quite funny.
- Shane's wife Petra loves my impression of Salma Hayak talking about her favorite band - the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
- I'll be heading to Halifax for Pop Explosion and get to see them both for the first time in over a year.
