News:: Holy Fuck @ The Marquee Tomorrow Night

Why is it we haven't really covered Holy Fuck here on the hill? Honestly I have no idea, but it's probably because they're getting so much coverage on everyone and their hipster Mom's blog that the Ack and I haven't got around to discussing them. Not a typical situation for a band with the Nova Scotia ties that these fuckers (sorry, all the f bombage got me carried away) have. I know the band is based in Toronto, but Brian Borcherdt, one of the two permanent members of the band, hails from Yarmouth, and two of the band's current members, Loel Campbell and Mike Bigelow, are from Wintersleep.

Anyway, since being named one of the 3 performances at last year's Glastonbury Festival, the band has been hailed by media outlets big and small. Including a story in this week's Coast as a primer for their show tomorrow night at the Marquee. This is Holy Fuck's last show in Canada before they head down south to tour the US for a month, and a great chance to see one of the more buzzz-worthy bands on the go right now. Plus, they have a song called Frenchy's on their new album, which you might, if you hail from the Maritimes, think is rather awesome.

Guy - we mentioned them in passing when they opened for Wolf Parade.

But mainly so I could use the dungeons & dragons line.

We're still cool!

Perhaps, but if you search our site for them (before this post), you get one tiny reference from our HPX coverage, so I stand by my claim.

Try doing some research next time (ooo, coconut!) before you take me to task in such a public fashion.

Certainly a helpful service you are providing. Providing the correct URL to your own site would be even more helpful.
