IDOW:: Friday Night (And Some Wednesday Bonus Coverage)
All right, if you ask nicely, I'll give you another slick table previewing tonight's events for the In The Dead Of Winter festival. It's ok, you don't have to feel obligated to be nice, I'm going to give you the preview anyway. The Ack is jealous of my html table skills, so I'm showing them off again. Anyway, no doubt you read my review for Wednesday nights show at the Italian Cultural Centre and it has inspired you to check out some of the action for yourself. Well check on checkers...| Thursday, Janauary 31, 2008 | ||

There's actually another show tonight, at St. John’s United Church, which features Fredericton's melodic folksters, The Olympic Symphonium opening for Hayden. Unfortunately for you, unless you already have tickets, this show is sold out. I can see why, should be a great show. That being said, the other two venues have some solid entertainment as well. The Songwriter Circles at Fred should be pretty amazing, and the spoken word session with Shauntay Grant and Tanya Davis would also be pretty impressive. The Italian Centre will have a distinctly country & bluegrass feel with acts like Grassmarket, Steve Stacey, and The Divorcees. Good times for all.

Because it's Friday, here's a couple more treats from Wednesday night. There's a nifty video of the i see rowboats opener, Ci Ci, which features their horn section making a dramatic entrance at the beginning. Also, in my review of the show, I mentioned that Rose Cousins was joined by Jenn Grant and Dan Ledwell for a rather enjoyable cover of Mr. Mister's Broken Wings. Now, thanks to the magic of technology, now you can hear it for yourself.

I'd be jealous if you did it right. Nice empty cells and lack of cellpadding
