News:: It's Re-Design Time At Herohill

Ooo, look at us with our fancy new clothes! As you may notice, if you've been by the site before, we've rolled out a new design for the hill today. In case you're somehow puzzled by the new header, it's an attempt to convey the fact that we try to cover the Canadian scene from coast to coast. Vancity's skyline can be seen on the left-hand side, T.O. is in the middle, and the town known as Haltown is on the far right. The Ack is in Vancouver, I'm in Halifax, and we both used to live in Toronto, so there's everything tied up all nice and neat like.

Now that the obvious explanations are out of the way, I should say big up to herohill co-founder Shawn Lapaix for once again climbing the hill and assisting the Ack with the new design, I think it looks great. The Ack and I have kind of a Radio Raheem-esque relationship with re-designs - a bit of the ole love/hate. We always want to keep things fresh around here, but it tends to take us a while to crank out new designs. But the last couple of designs have turned out great, so the effort is certainly worth it.

We're still fiddling around with things on the new design, making changes here and there, but for the most part I think we're good to go. Feel free to let us know how you like the new look. Flattery is accepted and encouraged. Constructive criticsm is grudgingly accepted. Also, here are two songs that the new design's tagline, "Going coast to coast", brought to mind: The Alkaholiks' DAAAM! from their album Coast II Coast and In-Flight Safety's The Coast Is Clear from their album of the same name.
