Road Tripping:: Redux

Last week when we drove through Manitoba, we stopped at Louis Riel's boyhood home. Of course, I wanted to post the Grand Archives track of the same name, but in the attempt to keep it legal I opted not to tempt the Web Sheriff.

Luckily, the Seattle outfit stopped by Daytrotter and chose to play a nice version of the oddly summery track. It's almost impossible not to sway and sing along when they repeat "hanging, all alone" over and over again, disregarding the grizzly subject matter. For those who don't know, Riel - aka the Father of the Manitoba people - was hanged for leading the Metis resistance.
