News:: Daryl Hall is Cooler Than You

Now I had already seen a number of videos from previous episodes, and I thought they were pretty outstanding. But being honest, this was mostly due to the awesomeness of Hall himself. That's not to take anything away from his previous guests (KT Tunstall, The rappin' guy from Gym Class Heroes), but Hall is kind of a powerhouse and he generally steals the show. However, the latest episode pairs him with a group that manages to bring the whole thing up a few notches. That group is Montreal funkateers Chromeo.
I wasn't even really a fan of Chromeo before this, but I think I'm on board now. I mean just go here and watch the videos, and you'll see what I mean. It's just my opinion, but it's been quite some time since I've seen something as cool as this. Dave 1 and P-Thugg are pretty big fans of Hall & Oates, and to see them be embraced by Hall & crew, and have such a great time doing the songs, it kind of warms my cynical heart.
They hang out drinking wine, Hall drops the F bomb, they check out Hall's sweet indoor pool, do a Boz Scaggs cover, and talk about Oates' drum machine duties. Plus they do Family Man and P-Thugg breaks out the talkbox on it, which somehow makes one of my favorite H&O; jams even better, and Hall also spices up Tenderoni with his famous ad-libs, which is hard to beat. Really I could go on about this for a long time, but let me just wrap this up by saying Hall is cool as hell. If Live At Daryl's House is ever in need of some live, in-person blogger coverage, the hill is ready and willing.
Great link! I've always had a soft spot for Hall and Oates.
ahh the link is dead, can you please repost?
