Quick Hitters:: Theresa Andersson

This time, however, fate has intervened. I found Theresa's songs buried somewhere in my cyber stack today, and was thinking perhaps I should craft a post about her to try and engender some N.O. karma ahead of the Saints rather large matchup with the Bears tonight. While mulling this over, we were sent an email talking up Andersson's big plans for '09, including a Conan performance and an appearance on a Starbucks compilation of some kind. Well that was it, to not do the post now would guarantee a Saints jinx, and a loss tonight that would effectively end their season. If you know the history of the Saints, you know they don't need any additional bad karma.
So then, here is a Theresa Andersson post for one and all. I know nothing about her really, other than she moved to NOLA from Sweden in 1990 or thereabouts, and makes some lovely, catchy songs. Her homespun video for Na Na Na has been given the cringe-inducing title of "youtube sensation", but honestly, I can see why. Something about the thought of this petite Swedish woman joyfully freaking the looped-out funk in the tiny kitchen of her New Oleans house warms the tiny embers (word to the Ack!) of my curmudgeonly heart. So check the songs and videos below, and I think you'll agree.
Go Theressa! Go Saints!
But please don't go Lance Moore. I need to win my Fantasy pool this week.

Theresa Andersson is my new favorite artist! I read about her on a blog last year and then got her album Hummingbird, Go! Which is one of my favorite releases of 2008.
Watching her videos, it barely even touches on how amazing she is. I just saw her live, and it blew my mind away!
