Tonight:: The Olympic Syphonium, The Heavy Meadows & Don Brownrigg

I just wanted to throw up a reminder for everyone about The Olympic Symphonium CD release party tonight at The Bus Stop Theatre here in Halifax. The snowstorm canceled the original show, and that worked out perfect for me since I was away.

Their new record - More in Sorrow Than in Anger- is gorgeous and one can only hope that even half of the cavalcade of Halifax guests that contributed to the songs shows up. We’ve gushed about the new record enough already, so I won’t go on and on again, but honestly a night of great music with the chance that Rose Cousins, Rich Aucoin, Christina Martin, Dale Murray, Catherine MacLellan or countless other friends might end up on stage could be pretty special.

Throw in the fact The Heavy Meadows and Don Brownrigg will be opening up and I think I just planned your Friday night. The show is an early one, starting at 8:00 PM so get there early.
