Contest:: Free t-shirt from Worn Free
If you are impressed by shit celebs wear, well, you will want to jump on this (Aniston, Hali-famous Ellen Page, Shane’s favorite country rocker Keith Urban and JOHN STAMOS are just a few of the people who have been spotted in these duds).
But more importantly, if you are a fan of rock and roll history, these tees are for you. The idea – while simple – is fantastic. Worn Free has made t-shirts from some of the iconic shirts rock heroes wore in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. Whether you want to pay tribute to super rock critic (and really, the inspiration to bloggers everywhere) Lester Bangs, The Ramones, Iggy Pop or Gram Parsons, these shirts are the way to do it.
The shirts are mad expensive (well, if you operate on a blogger’s salary) so getting one for free is where it's at. All you have to do is leave your email, shirt choice and size in the comments or send us an email [herohill AT gmail DOTCOM] with the same info and T-Shirt in the subject line. Personally… if I had to chose (just sayin’, if you want to send a freebie to the messenger we’d be ok with that), I’d be going with the Rumble in Jungle shirt Mick Ronson sported.
Contest closes in two weeks, so get your entries in quick and we will get in touch with the winners.
And to get you in the mood, here are a couple modern takes on the classic work these heroes created.
MP3::
Judy is a Punk – Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (The Ramones)Grievous Angel – Joe Pug (Gram Parsons)
Suffragette City – Alice in Chains (David Bowie)
