Friday Showstravaganza:: The Extremities, Rich Aucoin & Windom Earle, Spring Breakup

Tonight alone provides you with enough entertainment to last you the whole weekend. The Extremities are doing their hip hop vs jazz thing at the Paragon, with DJ's, MC's and a live band - I pretty much loved The Extremities album, so I imagine seeing them do it live would be pretty solid. Rich Aucoin & Windom Earle are celebrating a split tape (as in cassette? I believe so, which is awesome) release at Gus', and I shouldn't have to tell you that if you're looking to bust an indie move, this is the place to be. I've heard nothing about this show, but it seems Spring Breakup (Kim Barlow & The Burning Hell's Mathias Kom) are playing something called the GPI Office at 3800 Oxford st. But if you can't find that venue, no worries, they play an afternoon show Sunday at The Carleton, so you can catch them there.
But never fear, if Saturday is your night out on the town, there's a fantastic rock & roll show at The Seahorse. Shotgun Jimmie, Baby Eagle, Slate Pacific & Bloodsport should put on a heck of a show, and I hear there will even be trivia hosted by Let's Get Baked's Matt & Dave, so he should be a jam-packed evening. Well there you go, lots going on, so if you aren't saving up your energy for Modest Mouse at the Forum on Monday night, get out and see something.
