Five Funky Stories:: Dinosaur Bones

Did we mention that the Halifax Pop Explosion starts tomorrow night? We might have. If you are heading out to that show at the Paragon tomorrow, you'll see a young Toronto act that has the hill's seal of approval: Dinosaur Bones.



After reviewing their debut EP earlier this year, the Ack was pretty excited about this T.O. quintet. After the Ack's high praises, I checked them out too, and I also thought they were pretty fantastic. Raw, energetic rock & roll done with an aplomb that belies their age - I have to think they'll be great live. So get out and start your HPX experience with them. 1. If we commissioned you to write a song about herohill, what would the title be?

Blogger's Paradise

2. What is your favorite venue to play (excluding those in your city of residence)

It'd probably have to be Call The Office in London. Its got that beat up cowboy bar feel. Kind of reminds me of the vibe of the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, which we all love.

3. What's your favorite thing to do to pass time on the road?

We play a lot of Chin Lone. Look it up, it rules.

4. Your preferred Neil: Diamond or Young?

My preferred Neil is going to have to be Sam Neil for his oustanding work in Jurassic Park.

5. You can ask any musician dead or alive one question, who do you ask?

I'd ask Kings of Leon to stop making records. ...Seriously guys...
