Friday Fun:: The Carps - Bo Jackson/Kelly Gruber

I tweeted something to this effect when I first got the email for The Carps new Digital 45 Bo Jackson/Kelly Gruber, but even if I wasn’t already a fan of this Scarborough duo, the excellence of those titles would have won me over. Fittingly, it’s the Bo Jackson side of the equation that is the champ for me, but the Gruber side, with a backbeat as hectic as a face-first playoff slide from its namesake, is still mighty good.

It struck me as I was listening to these songs, but why aren’t these dudes bigger? They are tight musically, blending plenty of electronics with live drums, but they also have a huge advantage over others who might do the same in that Jahmal Tonge has a fantastic voice. So let’s remedy that little problem of their bigness shall we? Go get yourself a copy their digi 45 - it’ll only set you back two bucks, plus it’ll put some pep in your Friday step, and you can start spreading the good word about The Carps.
