Winter is winning right now. Too much shoveling. It’s too cold. But it won’t last forever now will it? We have that relatively pleasing thought to keep us going as we heave another shovel load over the ever-growing mini Great Walls that are forming alongside our driveways. How about something else to keep you going? Riff-filled power pop often does the trick for me, and so the new 2 song EP from Montreal’s Reversing Falls certainly fits the bill.
As a bonus, they’re named after the famous Reversing Falls in Saint John, NB, and my Grandmother lived in a little apartment overlooking the Saint John river which contained those rapids. So Reversing Falls = summertime memories for me, and I’ll certainly take those on a day like today. But these two tracks should brighten your day wherever you are, so snatch ‘em up.
