Twin Peaks - The Clap Remix

Sure, Friday Fun posts make more sense, because as a norm, Fridays are fun, and Tuesdays are hella lame, but I’m posting this new song from Twin Peaks (Ghettosocks & Muneshine) for a few reasons. Mainly it’s because I love pretty much everything about the song, the Kanye-refused beat from Premo, the very awesome name for the remix (DJ Premier’s Cool And I’ma Let You Finish Remix), and the verses themselves are excellent (‘specially Socks, Jian G. vs. Billy Bob, Duck Hunt, Blind Melon & Conan refs in one song? Yes please.)

 

I’m also exhausted, after taking the red-eye back from San Francisco on Sunday evening and deciding that I didn’t need to sleep until last night. So I literally don’t have the brainpower to type anything more in-depth than this. Not entirely true, I must first urge you, if you haven’t already, to go cop all the Twin Peaks music they have on offer (I need to get me one of them Kaboom vinyl 12′s I think), as it’s great stuff.

 

Also, let’s add a big congrats for Ghettosocks, as the news has come down the cyber-pipe today that his amazing last album Treat Of The Day has been nominated for a frickin’ Juno. I know the hip hop thing to do is not to give an F about a god damn Grammy, err Juno, but man, that is still really cool either way. I’m a huge fan of all the albums nominated (EXCEPT ONE OBVIOUS EXCEPTION), but it would be pretty solid for Halifax to see Socks take it.
