We don’t get to do enough of these “news” or “future watch” posts, not sure why that is, but if you’re a Halifax band we’ve covered before with some news to share, get at us.

Anyhoo, Tim, aka Paper Beat Scissors, has done exactly that, getting in touch to relay some rather exciting news. It seems that Mike Feuerstack (AKA Snailhouse) will be producing his new album. The duo will be recording this summer, alternating between the South Shore (the Confidence Lodge), Halifax and Montreal. The goal will be to have the album released in the fall, but as release dates are often somewhat fluid, Tim has promised to keep us up to date with their progress.

Two hill faves collaborating on a new album? That is, as they say in the biz, a win-win, so here’s some Paper Beat Scissors content to whet our collective whistles. First a live performance of a new song (that will appear on the upcoming album) called Rest Your Bones shot in Montreal, and Be Patient from Tim’s last effort, Flicker.
