We’ve been neglecting the Video Hits around here, I think, because once again we’ve got a backlog of great videos, so let’s get a bunch posted. An just an FYI, this is an All-Canadian Hip Hop version of the Video Hits, so if you don’t like the hip hop, now would be the best time to leave before we get into it and then it’ll be all awkward when you get up to leave and we all turn around to stare at you as you slink away.
I’m kidding of course, don’t go anywhere! Stay put and watch each and every video of the furious five on offer below. There’s a crazy, Friday Night Lights meets Twilight Blood (or whatever vampire shit the kids like currently) type video for Rock Radio off of Timbuktu’s awesome last record Stranger Danger. There’s the return of Arabesque, as the more concise Besque, with a new video for his rather lovely new track Not Enough Love. There hasn’t been enough Besque if you ask me, so it’s good to see him back on the scene. We’ve also got a great new black & white video for Today (I Wanna). I was late getting on board with these dudes, but they’re busier than ever currently, laying the groundwork for their upcoming new album.
We’re not done there though, we’ve also got vids from an old favorite and a new group (new to the hill anyway). On the new side is Ain’t No Love from Montreal. I know nothing about them, but if Step Hard is any indication this crew, with their 2 MC’s & 1 soul singer setup, look ready to turn some heads. To wrap it up we’ve got a new video from Classified, who brings a laid back look at his friends & fam showing the legendary Brother Ali some east coast hospitality in the clip for Maybe It’s Just Me.
