Sure, the headline sounds like the creepiest, sexual predator Craigslist ad possible, but Halifax/Moncton pop punkers Weekend Dads are making some ear pleasing noise these days and we are more than happy to help them get the word out.

Their debut 7″ is out on It’s Alive Records and the four-songs will warm the heart of any classic pop-punk loving fan. How good is this 7″? Well, the easiest way to explain it is to say that I used to listen to nothing but bands like Screeching Weasel, Face to Face and The Queers, and if bands like Simple Plan didn’t fuck up the sound and more bands sounded like Weekend Dads, I probably still would. Seriously, just take a listen “Feedback My Heart” and try to stop yourself from singing along on the chorus.

And if that’s not enough, Weekend Dads were just been offered a spot on the new Larry Livermore comp (yes, that Larry Livermore), Adeline Records Presents: The Thing That Ate Larry Livermore on Adaline Records.

So what about the free shit? Well, we have one of the precious few (only two hundred pressed) opaque pink vinyl to give away to one lucky reader. All you have to do is send an email to herohill AT gmail DOT COM with your contact info or leave the pertinents in the comments section below. Good luck!
