I know absolutely nothing about Peace, a Vancouver band that recently signed to Suicide Squeeze, but god damn I love this song.

“Your Hand in Mine” is melodic, with surprising notes that might be more at home across the Atlantic than nestled in the inlets on the Pacific, but it’s the lyrics that turn the beautiful grey backdrop into something tangible and meaningful.

Sadness and unbridled love; two ubiquitous themes that when tackled as well Peace does here, strike a chord that resonates with everyone.

The World Is Too Much With Us isn’t out until October 16, but there’s a good chance “Your Hand in Mine” will be stuck in your ears until then and shoe-horned into a ton of Best-of lists long after the release date.
