I’m assuming you already have your HPX wristband already. Why? You’re clearly a person of discerning taste, considering you are reading the hill - the #1 musical blog type thing read by your favourite Canadian music industry insiders and artists*. Therefore, it’s no stretch to assume you have already made plans to attend one of the premiere music festivals this country has to offer. Don’t believe me? The lineup of headliners for the 2013 version of the festival has been released, and it looks like this year is going to another monster. And now for our traditional presentation of the HPX performers in a huge block of text, behold!

Japandroids, The Walkmen, Wavves, Killer Mike, Action Bronson, Fucked Up, Shad, The Besnard Lakes, Young Galaxy, Metz, Braids, Great Lake Swimmers (solo), Chad VanGaalen, Hannah Georgas, Hollerado, No Joy, Joel Plaskett w/ Symphony Nova Scotia, Brian Posehn, Todd Barry, Doldrums, BadBadNotGood, Dirty Beaches, Obits, Grandtheft, Zeus, Dusted, Lunice, The Plan, Suuns, KEN mode, We Are Wolves, Aqua Alta, Mo Kenney, Leif Vollebekk, Ladies Of The Canyon, Royal Canoe, By Divine Right, Thus:Owls, Lindy, The Beards, The Zolas, Louise Burns, BA Johnston, Pick a Piper, Jay Arner, Groenland, Woodpigeon, Kayo, Quake Matthews, Poor Young Things, and The Highest Order

Yes. Indeed. So get a wristband. Book a trip on a jet plane. There is a special Early Bird show featuring Chad Vangaalen (plus bonus goodies), so get in there before the end of August. A pass gets you access to all the Music (minus the Symphony shows, unless you go VIP), Comedy and Culture Events as well as entry into the Pop Expo! (Records / Zine / Craft and Art fair), Bike Concierge Parking and access to the inter-venue Festival Express Bus. Ugh, why are we still debating this, just go already.

* If your favourite Canadian Music artist and/or industry type person is Grammy Award winning producer Daniel Ledwell, then this statement is fact.
