HPX 2013 is about to launch into fever pitch mode, with Friday’s events already under way, with much more to come (damn you scheduling, why must the Plaskett/NS Symphony show take place at the same time as Shad’s only set?!?!?) and an over flowing Saturday of musical events still to come.
So I thought I’d leave you with a video from someone on tonight’s sched, and who better than Royal Canoe who headline a show at The Seahorse tonight and also play at The Company House tomorrow night. I’ve always been intrigued by the unique sound collages put forth by these eager Winnipeggers, but I don’t think I’ve ever posted on them. Well here’s a wrong I’ve righted. The Ack has posted on them before, saying Bathtubs “sounds better the louder it gets, but the song is full of surprising layers and transitions”. Agreed. Enjoy the vid and try to catch them if you’re doing HPX this weekend.
