PRESIDENT BUSH

From: Shane
To: President Bush
Date: 2/21/2002
-------------------------------------------

(message)
Hello President Bush,
Congratulations on getting those pilots back from China. I have a question for you. We're a little confused about you up here in Canada. On your American tv shows, that we're forced to watch up here, you're described as not actually being in charge of the country. They say that the vice-president, Dick Charlie, is actually running the country. Surely there's no truth to this! Are these just jokes of some kind?
Thanks for your time and keep up the good work. If you're doing any work in the first place!
-Shane

Thank you for emailing President Bush. Your ideas and comments are very important to him.
Unfortunately, because of the large volume of email received, the President cannot personally respond to each message. However, the White House staff considers and reports citizen ideas and concerns.
Again, thank you for your email. Your interest in the work of President Bush and the new administration is appreciated.
Sincerely,
The White House Office of E-Correspondence
