Quick-hitters:: Jaymay

There isn't much point on piling on the praise for NYC's Jaymay. If you look around, you might see her on just about every blog in the world. Sure, I could reach for some comparisons or try to make a clever play on the seasons and colors she litters throughout her songs, but chances are your only here to grab an MP3.

So why bother? Well, Jaymay is incredible and if by chance you read herohill and don't just troll the hype machine looking for free songs, I can't stress enough that her debut record on Bluenote is something to be heard. Her combination of jazz and folk is addictive and her voice is as clear as a shot in the night. She makes a slight obsession and the decline of a relationship sound beautiful and her delivery makes you think that these songs are a little secret meant only for you.

I've been listening to this record a lot lately, and if by chance you still buy records, Autumn Fallin' is one that will fit nicely into your collection.
