News:: Indie Pop Night with DJ Bones & Owl

Honestly, yesterday was a grind. Between interviewing Tony Dekker and seeing Great Lake Swimmers tear the roof off St. Matthew's Church yesterday (review, interview, grainy pics, video and shitty sounding MP3s tomorrow), I really didn't have time to write down my thoughts on any of the records I've been enjoying lately. It got even worse when Naedoo snaked me on the Predator rap.

So instead of throwing up something half assed, I'm going to use my full ass to show some love to one of the Maritime's hardest working DJ's. Bones - aka marc leblanc - travels all over the place giving people who don't like shitty dance music the chance to shake their asses. He's bringing the party to Gus' Pub on Saturday, March 14th and he's bringing a tons of songs, prizes for Mustache Appreciation, and a special guest.

Halifax's impossible to google Owl are going to be playing their first show... ever. Just look at that pic and look at Superfantastic Matt MacDonald's beard and stripey shirt and try to think his laptop, synthy side project (with vocals and keys courtesy of Vanessa Murnaghan) won't equal fun.
