IDOW:: The Abramson Singers II, Electric Boogaloo

Last year, almost to the day, I posted a quick review of The Abramson Singers record and pleaded with Haligonians to make their way to see her play as a part of IDOW. Well, call Turbo and Ozone because it’s now 2011 IDOW and Leah is back, harmonizing to save the rec centre from being torn down.

Leah’s last record was a showcase for the self-proclaimed “choir nerd” to show off her voice. Layers of harmonies pillowed onto each other, but as this chilly synth collaboration with Montag shows, the melodies were well thought out and held to the high standard her vocal compositions demand. Leah will be opening the Friday night show @ The Company House and the warm room will be a perfect backdrop for her talents. Don’t miss out!
