You see that fancy poster ^^^? Well, it’s the first of many ways we are spreading the word about the herohill, Saved By Vinyl, Kelp Records HPX mega jams happening during HPX. We’ve loved both labels for many moons now, so getting the chance to get some of their artists on not one, but two shows is something of which we are very proud.
We will be posting up at our favorite venue — The Company House — for the official showcase (lovingly named the Bottomfeeders Ball) on Friday evening and then a crazy, free to the public Saturday afternoon BBQ. If you’ve ever read the Hill, none of the artists that will be taking the stage will be a surprise, but if you are new to the game we will be having some giveaways and exclusive shiz up on the site to get you all excited.
Up first? None other than Kelp records vet Chris Page. Chris has been putting out classic jams for years - his solo record A Date With a Smoke Machine is a must hear, and the powerful hooks of the new Camp Radio record would leave Don Flamenco’s legs wobbly.
So here’s the deal: We have 5 limited edition 7″ from Camp Radio to give away. They are beautiful slabs of white vinyl, printed and pressed by the mysterious 51F records and unless you pre-ordered one of the first 100 Camp Radio LPs, you can’t get these anywhere else. Both jams, “Alone in a Tent” and “Irrational Rescue”, are classic Camp but the textures on the former make it the perfect closer to any playlist.
To enter, all you have to do is hit up Chris on Twitter - @chrispager - and tell him @herohill sent you. It’s that easy and the payoff is amazing.
